Do not stand with psychopaths
You are just as expendable to them as their current victims
With the genocide in Gaza, we are seeing the politicians and others who are willing to stand with the psychopaths perpetrating it.
Only psychopaths have the aptitude to run a genocidal apartheid regime that Israel has been from its beginning, but ever since then there has been a huge cohort of politicians who have been willing to overlook the massacres and forced displacements of Palestinians for some supposedly hegemonic gain through the existence of a Western-leaning Israel in the midst of all the Arab states.
Across the Western world, we are seeing the same politicians claiming that peaceful protestors against a genocide that is being live-streamed are somehow more dangerous to democracy than Israel, despite its training of their police forces in military tactics and aggressive crowd control, and supplying them with sophisticated technology to surveil their own citizens with. What sort of thinking allows elected representatives of one country to back up the genocidal behaviour of another over the welfare of their own citizens?
In their support of Israel, we are seeing the true nature of those politicians, and it now seems obvious why the countries they run have been failing their own citizens. They do not care at all about anything other than their own distorted idea of a reality which favours wealth over the quality of life, and the lives themselves, of millions who suffer at the hands of them and those they support. It is a moral and ethical bankruptcy which is sacrificing humanity and the planet for the benefit of those who would willingly throw the politicians themselves under the bus if they back out.
However, that we are now seeing the genocide on our screens does not mean that it has not just been going on for a century in Palestine. It has been the modus operandi of the powerful and wealthy for centuries. The psychopaths, or more accurately, Dark Triads, have been why the many have always been suppressed and persecuted at their hands. It is in their self-chosen nature to create mass-suffering for their own benefit, while manipulating all those around them to think that they have the right to do so, and should be celebrated for it.
For the many who have swallowed the propaganda, these people are heroes, but we now know that many from the past who have been revered like them, even with statues, have been no more than the most despicable human beings, leaving mass suffering and devastation in their wake. We are now seeing the same being left in the wake of their modern counterparts, and if we are to avoid the same fate of others in the past, we must extract these people from their ability to control our societies, and refuse to support them or those that support them.
The more that we do that, the better off our lives and the planet will be. They have, and still are, sabotaging our democracies and their institutions for their own self-gratification and edification. Democracy can serve us a lot more than parade their sycophantic acolytes for us to periodically vote into office so that we lose more of our agency and capability. We can make ours and other lives better if we disconnect from their propaganda and the fake lifestyles they promote to distract us from their nefariousness. We deserve better.
For too long we have been fooled into believing their distorted reality is for our benefit, and that creating pain and suffering of others somehow gives us a better life. By believing that, we have sacrificed our own humanity, but we can take it back by standing with those who suffer at their hands instead. We do not lose by doing so, because this is not a zero-sum situation. Everyone who gains freedom from such a dystopia helps to free us all. Freedom is not that if it requires others to suffer. We lose our self-worth by perpetuating that myth. We are all human beings worthy of respect.
As we take back our societies from the unworthy, we can build a better world, where all can benefit from a true freedom that allows us to choose what is important to us, and follow the lives our hearts dictate, without fear of retribution or condemnation, just for wanting to be free, or thinking that everyone else deserves it as well. There is plenty for all to live a good and fulfilling life, but not in a world that justifies the few being in charge while taking the resources of the world for themselves. We have the power to change what the world becomes, and now is the time to take it.
Tobacco executives - With a current estimate of killing eight million a year with their products, they deliberately tried to hide the damage they were doing by denial, misdirection, obfuscation and propaganda. They enlisted the doctors we are supposed to trust to tell us their products were safe, and perhaps even beneficial for us. Absolutely no conscience about killing us.
Fossil fuel executives - Pollution causes an estimated eight million deaths a year, with 5.3 million due to fossil fuel usage. When their own scientists predicted [very accurately] in the early 1980s that their products would create global warming, they borrowed the tobacco executive playbook to prevent any loss of income from attempts to curtail their business model for the next 40 years, leaving us with the climate damage we have now.
Leaders overseeing genocide △- While many try to make up all possible excuses to justify genocide, the process creates mass suppression, displacement, hardship and death.
Leaders creating wars for hegemony - They create wars for personal or national advantage, incurring mass suffering, displacement and death.
Dictators persecuting their own people - Hundreds of thousands of people go missing or are killed a year around the world due to their leaders trying to eradicate challengers to their leadership, or to just create fear in their citizens so they do not try.
Leaders overthrowing governments △- Those who organise the overthrowing of democratically-elected governments to install dictators are just as culpable for the result as they know what will happen, but do it anyway. This is often just to stop the spread of people deciding their own future, which usually means stopping external exploitation of them and their country by such leaders and their country's corporations.
Carmaker executives - For decades, carmakers collaborated with the fossil fuel companies for their mutual benefit by promoting and lobbying for pervasive road networks, resulting in mass air pollution and destruction of inner-city neighbourhoods, and leaving local governments with mounting debts due to road maintenance and replacement costs, alongside depleted public transport infrastructure. They exploited governments and people while poisoning them and leaving them riddled with concrete and bitumen jungles.
These are the grossest examples of Dark Triad treatment of masses of other people. Millions of people are dying a year directly due to the choices of these people, yet millions accept that as some sort of price that others have to pay for their own supposed comfortable life while they secretly fear becoming the next victims. Dark Triads are never going to stop finding victims because they want to create the pain and suffering that enables them to control and manipulate others to do their bidding. There is no safe place from them, so their influence has to be stopped.
While dictators are obviously heinous people, executives often seem like supposedly balanced nice people, but they are still killing millions a year, with each of the first two categories killing about as many people a decade as the estimated total of 80 million people who died during WWII from all causes. They are not nice by any definition, being worse than most dictators in the deaths and suffering they are responsible for. Their personas are a projection so they can manipulate others into believing their lies. Looks to the results of their activities, not the stories they spin to placate us.
